Emma and Jack said ‘I do’ on an overcast day in early October. The day before their wedding day, the weather forecast was looking pretty dreary… but thankfully we were only met with grey clouds and no rain! Emma and Jack got married in style at the beautiful K1 Wines, nestled in the Adelaide Hills region of Kuitpo. This Adelaide Hills venue truly felt like a place where the outside world simply falls away, allowing all the guests to soak up all of the love between Emma and Jack. As an Adelaide wedding celebrant, I love being part of South Australian weddings that feel personal, romantic and completely true to each couple.
Emma and Jack’s modern-day romance blossomed from a dating app! Lucky enough to swipe right, they made time to meet one another and have been basically inseparable since! 11 years have gone by, during which they have built their life together, made memories, planned a wedding and are now looking forward to taking all the next steps as a married couple! Their love story involved a Spider-Man movie, a poem about ducks and a debate about whether one or two golden retrievers will be joining their family in the future.
Emma and Jack truly value their family, giving each family member a special role to be involved in their ceremony. These roles play an important part in the wedding ceremony, and having your loved ones fill them adds an extra special touch! The ceremony itself was a beautiful balance of tradition with modern touches throughout, tailored perfectly to them. Creating a personalised wedding ceremony is all about celebrating what makes each couple unique, from their shared memories to the people who have shaped their love story.
My role as the celebrant is to make you feel that I am across all the details of you as a couple, in the short amount of time that we get to know one another. Emma and Jack trusted me so much so, that they opted to have their story element of their script kept as a surprise for the day! This was a lovely touch as they were hearing this for the first time, evoking emotions and giggles as we reflected on their beginnings and favourite memories from all the momentous occasions that have come before their wedding day. As a marriage celebrant in Adelaide and the surrounding regions, my goal is to create a ceremony that feels authentic, meaningful and full of the little details that make your relationship yours.
Emma and Jack’s wedding day was a perfect reflection of them as a couple and encapsulated how much their families mean to them! Their K1 Wines wedding was a beautiful reminder that a romantic wedding ceremony doesn't need to follow a particular formula, but rather making intentional choices that perfectly reflect you as a couple!
