Michael & Cassie

Michael and Cassie were married on the most glorious autumn day, celebrating their love in the outdoor ceremony space at Hotel Alba, surrounded by 60 of their closest friends and family. This beautiful Adelaide wedding was the perfect example of an intimate, heartfelt celebration.

Hotel Alba was the perfect ceremony location for Michael and Cassie’s intimate wedding. Nestled in a peaceful pocket of Adelaide, it provided a beautifully elevated space that felt refined yet relaxed, allowing them to enjoy the company of their guests in a setting that felt both private and inviting.

Michael and Cassie are childhood sweethearts, having spent 18 years together before deciding it was time to get married. They approached their wedding day with a beautifully laid-back outlook. At the heart of their plans was a simple intention: to truly enjoy the moment and ensure their guests did too.

Their wedding ceremony was filled with intentional choices that reflected just how important their loved ones are to them. One of the most special inclusions was a ring warming ritual, where each guest was given a moment to hold Michael and Cassie’s wedding rings and quietly share their well-wishes. During this time, I played a selection of songs chosen by the couple and encouraged Michael and Cassie to pause, look around, and truly take it all in.

Guests were arranged in a circle around the couple, creating a deeply connected and inclusive atmosphere. To make the moment even more meaningful, both Michael and Cassie’s mothers were positioned at the end of the circle and given the honour of bringing the rings forward.

The ceremony itself was emotional, relaxed, and intentionally short, allowing Michael and Cassie to spend more time celebrating with their guests, exactly as they had envisioned.

Another unique and memorable touch was the witness raffle. Unsure of who to choose as their official witnesses, Michael and Cassie embraced something a little different. Together, we created a fun and spontaneous moment by drawing two names from a hat, leaving it up to fate and bringing a sense of lightness and connection to the ceremony.

Incorporating meaningful rituals and thoughtful moments like this helps keep guests engaged during the most important part of the day, while also creating lasting memories for the couple. Michael and Cassie had a clear vision for their ceremony, and as their celebrant, my role was to bring that vision to life with intention and ease.

Michael and Cassie’s wedding day was everything they had hoped for: intimate, meaningful, and full of love. A true reflection of who they are as a couple.

It meant so much to receive these words from Michael and Cassie in the days following their wedding ceremony:

"Hannah worked with us to create such a special ceremony that we will cherish forever. Hannah’s attention to detail while keeping us in her focus was everything we could have asked for. I highly recommend The Love Scribe to anyone looking for a fun, kind and conscientious celebrant!"

If you’re planning an intimate Adelaide wedding and are looking for a celebrant to create a personalised, meaningful ceremony, I would love to be your guide, supporting you every step of the way.
